An Alternative* To BOTOX® Cosmetic for Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation of Frown Lines and Crow’s Feet
Xeomin® is a neuromodulator to reduce facial movements such as frowning or squinting. These repetitive movements can create frown lines and furrow and can develop in men and women in all age groups, including some younger adults. Very similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport®, BAXT CosMedical® offers Xeomin® as an alternative wrinkle relaxer for patients interested in non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Xeomin® is safe and was approved by the FDA in 2009 in the U.S.

Why Select A Board Certified Dermatologist and Expert Injector?
Trust your Xeomin® injections only with a Board Certified Dermatologist!
Xeomin® is best performed by board-certified dermatologists who are experienced, appropriately certified injectors. Dr. Rebecca Baxt and Dr. Saida Baxt are Board Certified Dermatologists who have performed thousands of BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport® and Xeomin® injections. They can help you determine which product will best accomplish facial renewal goals.
√ SAFETY
A clinical study in JAMA Dermatology found that BOTOX® Cosmetic and other injectable procedures are very safe when performed by experienced board-certified dermatologists. Side effects occurred in less than one percent of recipients, and most of these were minor; such as, minor headache or bruising. Beware of low cost “injectables” as there are no generic forms of BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport® or Xeomin®. The formulations, potency, and approved doses vary among botulinum toxin products. This means that one product cannot take the place of another. There’s only one FDA-approved Xeomin® so be sure you are getting authentic Xeomin®. We receive our Xeomin® directly from the manufacturer, Merz Pharmaceuticals.
√ ARTISTRY
There is a lot of artistic vision to injecting Xeomin®. You want a very experienced and properly trained injector, not someone who takes a weekend course, or injects in a salon, gym, or in homes. Xeomin® is an FDA-approved drug and is a medical procedure best performed by a licensed board-certified dermatologist with expertise in the art of cosmetic medicine and NOT a nurse, physician’s assistant (PA), dentist or other type of non-cosmetic doctor.
We encourage you to understand why you should select a dermatologist and always check credentials! Read American Society of Dermatology’s “Do Your Homework…Know Your Provider”

What Is Xeomin®?
Xeomin® (incobotulinumtoxinA) is a prescription medication injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows. XEOMIN® contains botulinum toxin Type A which is similar to the active ingredient in BOTOX® Cosmetic. Xeomin® works by blocking the nerve impulses that cause your facial muscles to contract and form lines. The main ingredient in Xeomin® is a neurotoxin, but the amount is so incredibly small that it’s considered non-toxic.
Is Xeomin® Safe?
When applied by a Board Certified Dermatologists in appropriate amounts. Xeomin® is a safe medication (cosmetic injectable) and is FDA-approved in the US for treatment of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows. A key difference in this product as compared to other similar products is that Xeomin® is a “naked injectable,” meaning that it does not contain any additives.
What Areas are Commonly Treated with Xeomin®?
The common area of injection is between the eyebrows where women and men frequently develop a furrow or indentation in their forehead. This area responds very well to Xeomin® injections in smoothing out the furrow. Xeomin® is effective in temporarily lessening the appearance of facial wrinkles, including crow’s feet.
How Is Xeomin® Injected?
Dr. Rebecca Baxt or Dr. Saida Baxt perform all Xeomin® injections. The procedure is quick and it is done in the office with only slight discomfort. No anesthesia is needed. The potential side effects of Xeomin® are similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport®. They include local numbness, swelling, bruising or a burning sensation during injection. Placing ice on the injection site before and after the procedure can reduce side effects. If there is a bruise, you will usually be able to use a concealer to minimize it. We recommend “taking it easy” for the rest of the day after Xeomin® i.e. no health club work outs, yoga, cycling, etc.
When Can I Expect to See Results and How Long Do Xeomin® Results Last?
Patients begin to see visible smoothing as early as 3-4 days after injection. Xeomin® is not a permanent treatment as follow-up injections are required; typically injections last approximately up to 3- 6 months.*
