Referring to the 1/30/12 New York Times article about non-specialists expanding into lucrative cosmetic surgery procedures: Make sure your cosmetic doctor is board-certified in an appropriate specialty, well trained and had lots of experience.
Every week we see complications and poor results from patients having procedures done by inadequately trained physicians and sometimes nurses and physicians assistants. At Baxt Cosmedical you can relax-we are Board Certified in either Plastic Surgery or Dermatology and we have many years of experience. We don’t deliver babies, fix cavities, or treat pulmonary diseases because we are not trained to do those things. We do however perform all plastic surgery in a certified surgery center and have performed thousands of Botox injections, facial fillers and chemical peels, laser treaments, etc. Be careful out there!
